Check-in settings

Here you can find out which settings you should make in the check-in app to make the check-in process run smoothly and adapt it to your needs.

You can find all the setting options described on this page by tapping on the “More” icon at the bottom right of the app and then selecting the menu item “Check-in settings”.

Which action should be carried out?

 

Here you can choose what should happen when a guest's QR code is scanned.

 

This is how:

  • Tap on the "More" icon in the bottom right corner of the app
  • Choose the menu item "Check-in settings"
  • Scroll to the section "Which action should be carried out?"
  • Select the action to be carried out when scanning the QR code from the drop-down menu
  • Done

 

You can choose between the following actions:

  • Check in only
  • Check out only
  • Check in or out
  • Beta*: Check in or check in again
  • Show ticket details
  • Show extended details
    This setting is essential if a signature is required from the guest at check-in to confirm consent!

Who should this action be carried out for?

 

Define for which guests of the registration the action you have defined above should be carried out (if there are several guests within a single registration).

 

This is how:

  • Tap on the "More" icon in the bottom right corner of the app
  • Choose the menu item "Check-in settings"
  • Scroll to the section "Who should this action be carried out for?"
  • Choose one of the options from the dropdown menu
  • Done

 

You have the choice between the following options:

  • Specific guest (Main guest or accompanying person)
  • Show all guests of the registration for selection
  • Beta*: Carry out action for all guests
  • Beta*: Carry out action only for the main guest

How should the name badges be printed at check-in?

 

If you have activated the printing of name badges in advance and defined a corresponding template, you can specify how the printing of name badges should work at check-in here.

 

This is how:

  • Tap on the "More" icon in the bottom right corner of the app
  • Choose the menu item "Check-in settings"
  • Scroll to the section "How should the name badges be printed at check-in?"
  • Choose one of the options from the dropdown menu
  • Done

 

You have the choice between the following options:

  • Manually
  • Automatically

Print mode

 

Here you specify which print workflow you want to use at check-in.

 

This is how:

  • Tap on the "More" icon in the bottom right corner of the app
  • Choose the menu item "Check-in settings"
  • Scroll to the section "Print mode"
  • Select the print workflow you want to use at check-in from the drop-down menu
  • Done

 

You have the choice between the following printing options:

Normal printing

This is how the check-in mode works:

If you select the “Normal print” mode, the default print dialog of the device you are using is called up when printing a name tag. This print mode is ideal for self-check-in stations.

 

Settings for this mode:

No further settings are required for this print mode.

 

Print without dialogue window

This is how the check-in mode works:

If you select the “Print without dialog window” mode, no dialog window is displayed when printing a name badge, but the name badge is sent directly to the printer as a print job.

Settings for this mode:

Another clickable field appears in the settings, where you can choose the printer to be used for printing the name badges.

Important: In this mode, no further settings can be made for printing.

 

Share as PDF

This is how the check-in mode works:

If you select the “Share as PDF” mode, a PDF file will be opened when you print a name tag, which you can then send manually to your printer as a print job.

 

Settings for this mode:

No further settings are required for this print mode.

 

Brother printer

This is how the check-in mode works:

If you select the “Brother printer” mode, no dialog window is displayed when printing a name tag, but the name tag is sent as a print job to your connected Brother printer.

 

Settings for this mode:

Another clickable field appears in the settings, which allows you to set up your Brother printer.

 

This is how

  • Click on the field "Set up brother printer"
  • Choose the connection type
    • Bluetooth (Recommended)
    • Network
  • Under "Choose device" chooes the printer from the dropdown menu. If you can't find your printer in the list, make sure that the Bluetooth connection is activated on both devices
  • Paper format
    Here you select the paper format you want to use.
  • Print mode
    Choose the desired mode here:
    • Original
    • Fit to page
    • Scaled
    • Fit to paper
  • AutoCut
    Choose one of the two options here:
    • Enabled
    • Disabled
  • Alignment
    Select how the name badge should be aligned on the paper/print medium:
    • Center
    • Left
    • Right
  • Orientation
    Choose between one of the two options:
    • Landscape
    • Portrait
  • Once you have made all the necessary settings, you can click on the “Test print” button to print out a name tag to check that everything looks the way you want it to. :)

Customer cards

 

If you work with customer cards in your guestoo agencies, you can specify here which event a guest should be checked into whenever a customer card is shown at check-in.

 

This is how:

  • Tap on the "More" icon in the bottom right corner of the app
  • Choose the menu item "Check-in settings"
  • Scroll to the section "Customer cards"
  • In the drop-down menu, select the desired event to which guests presenting a customer card should be checked into
  • Done
