Your data at a glance

As soon as you sign up for an event, an account is created with guestoo. This allows you to manage your events. On this page you will find all information about your account.

Access your account/profile data

You have two options for accessing your profile:

  1. The easiest way is via the link you receive in every email from guestoo. Simply click on it and select the “My data” option in the menu in the top right corner. Done!
  2. If you have a password-protected account, you can simply go to https://app.guestoo.de/guest and log in with your email address and password. Then click on “My data” in the menu in the top right corner. Done!

As soon as you sign up for an event, we create a guest account with your email address. This account is protected by a randomly generated token (non-guessable character string). Every email you receive from guestoo contains a link that will take you to your event overview or to your profile. You require this link to access your guest dashboard!

If you protect your account with a password, you can log in on https://app.guestoo.de/guest with your email address and password. You do not necessarily need the link from your emails if you have set a password for your account!

In order to create a password-protected account, simply go to My data > Security, enter your desired password in the two fields ("New password" and "Repeat password") and click on “Set password”.

In order to change your password, you'll have to do the following:

  • Click on the menu item "My data" in the top right corner
  • Switch to the "Security" tab
  • Enter the new password in the corresponding fields ("New password" & "Confirm password")
  • Click on the “Change password” button
  • Done!

Adjust notifications

We will keep you up to date on important changes to events for which you have signed up, e.g. status changes, if important key dates change or the event is canceled completely. These notifications cannot be switched off, as they are necessary to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

There are also reminder emails that remind you of upcoming events. You can enable or disable these under My data > Settings > Notifications.

Under the menu item “My data” you will find all the data that is stored for you in the system.
We store your data for each agency. This means: for each agency (=each organizer) for which you have registered for one or more events, there is a data record for you. This has the advantage that you do not have to delete the entire account if you only want to delete your data for a specific agency.

 

Important: The deletion of your data is only possible if the agency owner or the organizer allows it.

If you cannot see the “Delete your data” button, please contact the person responsible by email in order to have your data deleted!

 

This is how you can view or (if permitted by the organizer) delete your data:

  1. Select the agency from which you would like to view or delete your data
  2. Click on the “Delete your data” button under the data
  3. If you wish, you can enter a reason for the deletion of your data in the form that is then displayed. This will be transmitted to the organizer.
  4. Then click on the “Request deletion” button
  5. Done - all data for this agency is deleted (exceptions are data that has a retention period for legal reasons)

  • How do I access my profile if I have neither received an email nor have a password-protected account?

    Go to https://app.guestoo.de/guest and request the link again by entering your email address.

  • What happens if I delete my data for an agency?

    Your participation in all affected events will be canceled. Your stored data will be deleted for the agency. If there is a retention period for legal reasons, individual data will be retained (e.g. for tax law reasons or for record-keeping).

    Your data belongs to you. We respect that!

  • Can i change my email address?

    No. Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment, because your email address is used as a key for various logs. However, we already have this request on our list and are currently considering solutions to make this possible for you in the future.
