Email sender settings

By default, guestoo uses the following sender data for outgoing emails:

• Sender name: guestoo
• Sender address: einladung@guestoo.de
• Displayed as: guestoo <einladung@guestoo.de> (View may vary depending on the email program used)

Depending on the subscription you use guestoo with, you have various options to change the sender that is displayed to your guests in all emails sent with guestoo:

Free subscription

• You can change neither the sender name nor the sender address

Basic subscription and higher

• You can change the sender name in the Agency settings
• Example: If you enter “Max Mustermann” as the sender name, the recipient will see the following:
  Max Mustermann <einladung@guestoo.de>

Pro subscription and higher

• You have the option of (partially) changing both the sender name and the sender address
• For the sender address you can choose from the following options:
  
  • einladung
  • veranstaltung
  • event
  • tickets
  • do_not_reply
  • test
• Example: If you enter “Max Mustermann” as the sender name and choose "veranstaltung" as the sender, the recipient will see the following:
  Max Mustermann <veranstaltung@guestoo.de>

Your own sender address (Pro subscription and higher)

If you prefer to use your own email address as the sender instead of one of the domains provided by us, that's also possible.

If you are using guestoo with the Basic subscription, you only have the option to change the sender name under Agency > E-Mails > Email sender settings (default: guestoo)

The option to change the sender name per event is only available from the Pro subscription and higher!

If you are using guestoo with the Pro subscription or higher, you have the following options under E-Mails > Email sender settings:

• You can change the sender name
  Example: If you enter “Max Mustermann” as the sender name, the recipient will see the following:
  • Max Mustermann <einladung@guestoo.de>
• You can change the sender address to a limited extent. It is made up of:
  
  • Sender: The part of the email address that comes before the @
    
    Example: einladung@guestoo.de -> In this case "einladung" is the sender
    
    You have a number of options to choose from in a drop-down menu. The free choice of sender is no longer possible when using the guestoo.de domain.
    
    
  • @ Domain: The domain is the part of the email address that comes after the @
    
    Example: einladung@guestoo.de -> In this case "guestoo.de" is the domain
• In order to use a domain that is not guestoo.de, you must be the owner of the domain and take care of some settings for the domain. A detailed description on what needs to be done can be found on this page.
• Once you have made these settings and added the domain, you'll be able to choose it here

Note: If you do not maintain the e-mail sender settings here, the information stored under “Agency > Data” will be used automatically.

The use of your own e-mail address is only included from the Pro subscription upwards, but can be added to the Basic subscription for an additional charge in the Feature shop.
