Event type

Here you can specify whether your event should be free or paid or whether you want to offer different tickets.

Event > Settings > Section "Event type"


Note: If you cannot see this section, it is probably hidden.

In order to display it, scroll to the bottom of the “Settings” tab and click on “Show more options”.
There you can set which sections should be displayed and which should be hidden so that you have a better overview. :)

Choose the event type

Choose the event type -

You can choose between the following event types:

  • Free of charge event
  • Paid tickets

In order to switch between the two event types, click on “Edit” in the top right-hand corner and then click on the desired event type to activate it.

But don't forget to click on “Save” in the top right corner when you're done. :)

Free of charge event

Free of charge event -

If you choose the “Free of charge event” option, your guests can register for the event without paying.

However, you have the option of sending a ticket with the confirmation, which you can use to check the guest into the event.

Suitable for
  • Private events, such as weddings or birthday parties, where no tickets are required
  • Free of charge events of any kind and size
  • Events with no different ticket categories or similar booking options

Paid tickets

For events with paid tickets and/or different ticket categories

If you choose the “Paid tickets” option, a “Tickets” tab will appear at the top of your navigation menu, where you can create different tickets, from which each guest can select one or more when signing up for the event - depending on the settings you have made. You can set a price for each ticket (€ 0 is also possible).

This option is also recommended if you want to offer free tickets, but still want to give the guest different options for tickets to choose from.

Suitable for
  • Events with paid tickets
  • Events where different ticket types are available (paid or free)
  • Events where additional tickets are offered (e.g. for various workshops, extras such as a bag of popcorn, etc.)
  • Events where our seating plan feature is used
