You can choose between one of three settings:
- Public
- Private
- Offline
Visibility of the event
Public, Private, Offline
Here you can specify where the event should be displayed and who can view it.
Event > Settings
Note: If you cannot see this section, it is probably hidden.
In order to display it, scroll to the bottom of the “Settings” tab and click on “Show more options”.
There you can set which sections should be displayed and which should be hidden so that you have a better overview. :)

The following settings are available
Public
The event appears on the public guestoo event overview page and your agency's event overview page. Every person who visits one of these two pages will see that the event exists, including the date and a short description.
Access to the event page or the registration form and the option to register depends on the settings you defined under Registration for the event.
Suitable for
- Big events
- Events that are intended to reach as many people as possible
- etc.
Private (Default setting)
The event does not appear on any public overview page. Only people who know the URL to the event microsite know that the event exists. The probability of someone guessing the link by chance is very low.
Access to the event page or the registration form and the option to register depends on the settings under Registration for the event.
Suitable for
- Exclusive events to which only selected people are meant to be invited
- Weddings
- Private events
- etc.
Offline
The event is offline. It does not appear on any public overview page and when opening the details page, a message appears stating that the event is offline.
Suitable for
- Events that are still in the planning / preparation stage
- Past events
- Test events with which you can try out the functionality and design options of guestoo
- etc.

Private (Default setting) > Still show on my Agency events page
If you select the “Private” status, you have the ability to activate this option.
It ensures that the event is displayed on your agency event page and that everyone who knows the URL to your agency event page knows that the event exists.
Suitable for
- Events that only people, who know the URL to your agency event page, are supposed to see
- z. e.g. internal company events for your employees
- etc.
